Let’s Get Vertical

I talk with all of my clients about using the vertical space in our homes and offices.  So often I see people using their closets to the max or using the floor space but I see vertical space being unused.  It's so valuable and can be so useful in your home.  I'll show you a few places in myhome where I am using vertical space. Laundry Horror to Laundry Haven

We live in a 1960's ranch house.  Evidently when they built my house noone thought it was important to put the laundry room inside the house.  Instead they thought it would be fun to put it in a storage room off the carport.  So yes,  I have been known to run half naked out to the laundry room to grab a pair of jeans that are still in the dryer...you know you do it to! Consignment Time!

I love shopping consignment sales.  But even more than shopping I love selling my children's outgrown things at consignment sales.  I participate in two sales every year...well it's the same sale that happens twice a year.  It is at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds and it's called Kidsignments (www.kidsignments.com).  They have a sale in February every year and another in August.  I have been shopping this sale for 9 years!  I have only missed one sale in all that time ...continue reading

Closet Before and After

Sometimes all it takes is a little motivation and another person's eye to get your closet working well for you.  I had just that situation recently when a client wanted to redo her closet.  We didn't have a lot of time to work together so we tag teamed her closet.  She spent a late night pulling everything out of her closet and getting rid of many things.  She left me with the clothes that she wanted to go back into her closet and left me alone, in charge.  I was able to ...continue reading
